Academy Films is a multi-award winning London based production company.
Launched over 20 years ago by Lizie Gower, Academy has a proud tradition of nurturing young talent and now lists a highly creative roster of over 20 directors (including the likes of iconic filmmakers Jonathan Glazer, Frederic Planchon, Walter Stern and Nick Gordon).
Producing shoots of all sizes all over the world, Academy has a reputation for high-end production values and beautifully crafted visual story telling.
The Academy Music Video department was formed in 1996 and has launched the careers of many of the company’s top-flight commercials directors, picking up an array of top promo awards along the way.
In 2008 Academy also launched a Digital/Content division specifically designed to respond to the growing demand for non-traditional brand related film, within both the online and broadcast TV environments.
Academy recently formed an alliance with Park Pictures in the USA, with a reciprocal arrangement to represent each other’s directors. As a result Academy also has access to leading North American directors such as Lance Acord, Joaquin Baca-Asay and Joachim Back.
