Daniel Dewsbury is an award winning documentary Director.
He originally studied Anthropology at Lancaster University before starting out at the BBC on a traineeship in Documentary where he worked on several critically acclaimed series including Wonderland, Storyville and Louis Theroux.
Daniel got his break on the BAFTA nominated series ‘The Detectives’ and the Royal Television Society winning ‘Hospital’ series.
He was Series Director on the critically acclaimed BBC series ‘The Mighty Redcar’, an exploration about the inequality of opportunities available to young people in some towns in the North East of the country. Daniel embedded himself in Redcar for over 6 months during research and filming.
The Guardian gave ‘The Mighty Redcar’ 5 stars ***** describing it as “proper heartwarming film-making”
Daniel is currently in final post production on a series for Channel 4 examining the Ministry of Justice.
