Luke is a BAFTA nominated performance director who excels in gleaning natural, sensitive performances from a broad age range of actors, with an ability for wonderful storytelling.
Aside from his commercial work, he has written and directed for broadcast TV and cinema and was named one of Screen International’s ‘Stars of Tomorrow’ and one of Broadcast Magazine’s ‘Hot Shots’.
He recently directed season 2 of ‘The A Word’ for Sundance/AMC and the BBC, a drama about a family and their experience of raising a child on the autistic spectrum, which came 2nd on the Hollywood Reporter’s list of best TV of 2017. His latest project is ‘Wanderlust’ a new BBC1/Netflix drama starring Toni Collette, it’s due to air later this year and is currently in post production.
Luke’s self written & directed short film ‘Mixtape’ was nominated for a BAFTA and won The Grand Prize in the Virgin Media Shorts Competition and ‘Disco’, his follow up to ‘Mixtape’ was long listed for a BAFTA.
His other TV work includes BAFTA and EMMY nominated ‘My Mad Fat Diary’, Russell T Davies’ ‘Banana’ for E4 and the finale of ‘Our Girl’ for BBC One which drew a series high of 5 million viewers.
