Absolute Post Are Proud To Have Collaborated On Two Recent Charity Projects

Absolute Post presents two recent charity projects they've collaborated on. First up is the 'Stand Up To Cancer' film from Ridley Scott Creative Group. Secondly we showcase the recent ITV' silent ad break 'Britain Get Talking' from Agency Uncommon and Pulse.

'Stand Up To Cancer'

A star-studded line up of actors including Martin Freeman, Celia Imrie, Tom Felton, Noel Clarke, Neil Morrissey, Nina Sosanya and Adrian Scarborough joined forces in an epic short film for Stand Up To Cancer shot by Ridley Scott Associates.

Marking the return of the joint national fundraising campaign from Cancer Research UK and Channel 4, the film depicts the stars channelling the relentless, unforgiving and unpredictable behaviours of cancer to beat it at its own game.

In the opening scene Martin Freeman is seen tirelessly swotting up on fundraising ideas late into the night. As the camera then cuts from one celeb to the next we see Celia Imrie remembering a lost loved one; Joe Dempsie and Nina Sosanya pummelling boxing pads; Tom Felton scaling a climbing wall; Noel Clarke smashing world records; Neil Morrissey break dancing and Adrian Scarborough dressed head to toe as a carrot, all to raise vital funds for life-saving cancer research.

The film’s creator and director, Ridley Scott Associate Juriaan Booij said: “When I was 16 my mother was diagnosed with bowel cancer. She and our family experienced first-hand the devastation it can cause. That’s why I wanted to create this film for Stand Up To Cancer, to show that those who fundraise for life-saving cancer research are every bit as relentless, unforgiving and unpredictable as the disease itself. It is thanks to research that she is still alive today.

ITV's Silent Ad Break in support of Mental Wellness

ITV Partnered with 5 of Britain's favourite brands to create a different kind of ad break. The project encouraged people to use the silent ad beak to take time to speak with friends and family. An ITV mental wellness initiative supported by Mind and Young Minds.
