Chris Randall British Animation Award Win
With eleven years experience in film and television, Chris Randall has accumulated numerous World Gold Awards in the International Promax/BDA Design Awards. From his 10 second long idents, to 1 minute long virals, to 10 minute films, one thing governs all of Chris's work: story. Every design deliberately reflects a narrative, no matter how short or strange. His creative approach to every project is to combine hand wrought experimentation with high-end execution whether the images are hand-drawn, digitally forged or captured in-camera with models and puppets.
Chris Randall's latest viral Pilsner Urquell Legends: The Day Pilsen Struck Gold, aimed to reflect the passion and traditional expertise intrinsic to brewing this distinctive beer. So stop-motion animation was considered to be a complimentary means of execution. Where brewery care about beer, he laboured over animating a book that told its story.
The viral won him 'Public Choice: Favourite Commercial' at the British Animation Awards. Selected entries were screened in three programmes Favourite Music Video, Favourite Short Film and Favourite Commercial at 24 venues across the UK, and audiences voted for their favourites.
The Reel feature the British Animation Awards and Chris Randall's win on their Homepage which you can check out on their website.
