The new ‘Sequence’ based in London Fitzrovia will be recruiting new staff, updating in-house technical facilities and putting new infrastructure in place to ensure that the company are leading the way in tapeless, file based HD post work flows.

As part of the acquisition DCD Media will benefit from an effective in-house post department capable of servicing each of their production companies with the highest level of post and channel delivery. With financial backing and business infrastructure in place, continuation of long-standing client and supplier relationships and significant new deal negotiations will help bolster the new company for a solid future.

Sequence brand Founder Ben Foakes stated: “Despite our recent circumstances, we are very pleased to have been recognised by such an established group for our quality of work. We have lacked capital investment and business support in the past, but will now benefit from an entire team of specialists to backup our creative team”.

David Green, CEO, DCD Media said: "We are delighted to bring Sequence’s widely recognized creative talent and assets into the group in a move to boost our in-house production capabilities and deliver added benefit across our production operations”.

Sequence Head of Production Kevin Chapman, added: “We very much look forward to a long-standing working relationship with the DCD Media group, and most importantly with our long-term, loyal list of industry suppliers. It has been a difficult process but we feel this route was ultimately the best option and we are excited and enthusiastic about the future of the facility, with significant backing on the business side and the same front of house quality of customer service”.

Speaking about the future collaboration Foakes added: “I am very pleased to be working with September, Prospect, Rize USA and the entire group of production companies. The partnership fits brilliantly with our ethos. Many of the systems we put in place and trial with the DCD companies will subsequently benefit our clients across the broadcast industry as a whole.”

The brand's short form production arm Sequence Creative will continue under the management of Kevin Chapman as head of production, with Mike Fisher as resident Creative Director. A restructure with production related staff will see Sequence Creative run purely with freelance crew, capable of expanding and contracting as project scales demand.
