The team at Final Cut are very happy to announce the launch of their sound company 'Machine'.
Following on from the success of Final Cut Sound headed by award-winning sound designers Patch Rowland and Alex Bingham, Machine offers two new sound studios at the edit house facilities on Margaret Street as well as a studio based out of Final Cut's New York office, manned by their international counterpart T. Terressa Tate. The studios feature fully-integrated recording, editing, mixing and video playback as well as a Dolby certified studio.
“The team have done an amazing job of bringing ‘Final Cut Sound’ to this point. Now is the perfect time to relaunch as Machine.” Alex Bingham, Sound Designer & Composer.
Alex, previously at String and Tins, joined the Machine team last year during the building of the studios. Bingham’s streak of award-winning work continues, most recently for Fox Sports with Wieden+Kennedy. Patch has also collected a number of awards nominations over the years, most recently with his impressive sound design on COWBOY DAVE, winner of BAFTA British Short Film category. Both Bingham and Rowland continue to work for a wide range of clients including Nike, H&M, BBC to name but a few.
Having the studios based out of an edit house allows the designers to work in tandem with the editors on a variety of projects.
"The editors love collaborating with Alex and Patch, and have a newfound respect for the work they do.” David Webb, Managing Director.
This means the process can be creative and experimental from the beginning whilst also having the added benefit of saving time!
Patch Rowland, Sound Designer adds, “We love developing new ideas with creative people, so can’t wait to see what year one has in store for Machine.”
