Luxury travel company Kuoni have launched a new campaign which has been devised by Grey London. Academy Director Marcus Söderlund has created a minute long brand film which promotes the company’s ‘find your amazing’ ethos. Post-production for the campaign was carried out by Finish, with a grade from Paul Harrison and 2D Flame work from Steve Murgatroyd.
Kuoni provide premium holidays, which are handpicked and tailored for those seeking luxury travel, and the film highlights one of the company’s fundamental philosophies; that no two holidays should be the same.
Beginning in the depths of the crystal-clear ocean, the film follows a lone swimmer as she appears to be running underwater. The swimmer slowly resurfaces and, as the spot progresses, she finds herself in paradise, positioned in the sea facing back towards the shores of a beautiful tropical island.
Colourist Paul Harrison comments ‘Serenity; that’s my overwhelming impression of being underwater. Marcus and I have tried to capture the majesty and beauty of the ocean, the subtle play of the sun’s rays shimmering through the water before disappearing into darkness. Drawing on my scuba diving and underwater photography experience helped me give the images an authenticity which I think helps to invoke a feeling of calmness in the viewer. This was a great job for me to grade as I love the ocean, I have really tried to show what it’s like to be there.’
Flame Artist Steve adds that ‘the Director, Marcus Söderlund, shot some absolutely stunning footage, which is obviously a gift for us!’
