Leading production company Knucklehead has signed director William Armstrong for international representation following his breakthrough work for Jaguar.
The London-based director will maintain his existing representation in only 2 countries - Germany and Ireland - but everywhere else will be managed by Knucklehead who signed him as soon as they saw his work.
28-year-old Armstrong took the industry by storm last year, winning a Young Director Award in Cannes and Best New Director in Kinsale. With a History & Philosophy degree, Armstrong went on to a scholarship at Vancouver Film School, pulling on a childhood spent in the bush in Botswana to inspire his stunning visual aesthetic. Since then William has been honing his skills from Dublin where he set up a production company. His love of people and the outdoors also shape his work.
"William's beautifully observed performance and lyrical style stood out for us straight away," said Matthew Brown, managing partner at Knucklehead. "We are impressed with the quality of his work and look forward to developing his skills and his career here at Knucklehead. He's a natural fit for the roster." First up, William will be shooting a film for cult footwear brand Soludos, which goes into production this month in The Canary Islands.
