The one-shot commercial written and directed by Tony Burke through Dead Bird Film, shows a serious actor delivering a poem to camera before an octopus playing the maracas enters the frame causing the actor to argue with the director and storm off before fighting with a member of the crew. CEO Jarvis Smith said “It’s a cluttered space so we needed to create something that would stand out whilst delivering a very common sense message that you can save money and protect the environment by choosing renewable products and services like Octopus Energy. This film does that brilliantly”.

Burke has previously created work for Icelandair, Samsonite and an award-winning film for single-use plastic film ‘Bottle Boy’ starring Jason Flemyng.

The film launches online this week.
