Bowen cut his creative teeth editing with Baz Lurhmann on proposed trailers for the yet un-shot Nicole Kidman epic, ‘Australia’. He then started working closely with esteemed Director, Michael Gracey, editing on-set with the Director and learning about the entire film making process from the script to the screen.
His first foray into Directing was ‘Woody’, a short film which went on to be played out at 35 film festivals. The film won Best Animation at the Academy Qualifying Seattle Film Festival and an AACTA Nomination. In 2014, his second short film, ‘Twisted’ placed 3rd at Tropfest – Australia’s most prestigious short film festival.
Stuart’s reel hosts a strong collection of spots showcasing his skill of creating subtle comedic performances.
