We are proud to announce a new addition to the roster of Jelly house – James Lancett
During D&AD last year, jelly’s owner, Chris Page spotted an animation that blew him away! He immediately found our creative director, Charlie Sells and lead agent, Hulya Corty to tell them of his find. Open mouthed, the three went through a particularly amazing illustration portfolio. Recognising the style quickly he knew that both the portfolio and animation had be created by the same talented young artist. James Lancett.
We invited him into Jelly to meet everyone and show off more of his work, we instantly fell in love with both his illustration and animation styles (and him!!).
After showing some of his work to a number of our clients, his charming animations that warm the heart and his versatile style found him winning support from everyone who saw his work.
James, who fell in love with animation whilst watching Batman and Robin as a young ‘un, is from Cardiff and moved to ‘The Smoke’ …or Kingston aged 19. He is heavily influenced by that fantastic era of 1940’s and 1950’s illustration and animation.
We asked him to join our team and work his magic for Jelly clients and, thankfully, James accepted. The rest I’m sure will be history, beautiful history...
